We bust myths and stereotypes that lead to misunderstandings to educate people about the various adoption processes. Too often you find information that may harm you because:
- it is either too generalized to be apply to your particular situation although it may appear to
- it may not fit your particular concerns and personalities
- it may not be legally allowable to proceed in the manner suggested in the information in your particular state.
We will present videos and other media products to inform you about what people actually experience as they are affected by infertility, surprise pregnancies, and adoption. Adoption is a life-changing experience for everyone involved – children whom were adopted and their birth siblings, birth mothers and birth fathers and their extended families, parents through adoption and their families as well as friends, classmates, work associates, and others. Our communities are impacted by adoption as they are impacted by other important life events. Adoption is a popular subject in daily conversations, on television shows, and in magazines and newspapers and are not typically portrayed in a balanced and realistic manner. We will lift the veil that still cloaks adoption to portray the legal and compassionate processes prospective adoptive parents and potential birth parents can choose between, and how their choices will have life-long consequences for their children, themselves, and others around them. |
